Kew to Richmond

Mary and I had a great walk down the towpath from Kew to Richmond.

We went past the meridian and the Kings Observatory in Old Deer park.

Today we got the news that there is a hosepipe ban, we'll have to use watering cans from now on.

Got the hedge dude to trim the hedge. Looks good but must get it shorter next time. I think heres a robins nest in there because a most concerned robin flew in immediately it was done.

Went to the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition today with Mary. Saw a remarkable painting that looked like a gherkin posing as the girl with the pearl earing by vermeer.
